Topics covered

referral pathways and patient engagement

service delivery and treatment experiences

early evidence of outcomes for patients

recommendations for future service delivery

Key findings

The PCGS was the first of its kind in the country. It shows promise in supporting people with gambling problems, though referral numbers were lower than expected. People valued the personalised approach and quick access to treatment.

Most saw improvements in gambling severity and mental health, however awareness amongst GPs remains low and some faced barriers to getting help.
