What is the National Gambling Support Network?
The National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) is a network of organisations across the UK. They provide free, non-judgmental, confidential treatment, advice and support on a range of gambling related issues. They support people who are experiencing gambling harms, as well as those affected by someone else’s gambling.
How the NGSN can help
Find the right support
They help you find support near you, based on your situation, location and support preferences.
Tailored support
Flexibility
"Recovery has allowed me to regain control of my life, rebuild relationships and rediscover a healthier, balanced life filled with hope and purpose"
The NGSN will contact you within 48 hours of your first call or message. They aim to provide treatment and support within five to nine days.

Support the NGSN offers
There are lots of support options, and the NGSN will work with you to find the one that’s right for you. You will not be judged or made to feel bad about your experiences.
Therapy
One-to-one treatment with a qualified practitioner. This could happen face-to-face or online. You may also be offered group sessions.
Peer support
You can speak to trained peer support workers who have overcome gambling harms of their own. Sessions are available in one-to-one settings or as part of a group.
Residential centres
If you'd like to go to a residential centre, you'll need to check in for a period of time.
One centre is Adferiad. They offer a range of free residential services for people experiencing more complex life challenges.
Another centre is Gordon Moody. They offer separate facilities for men and women.
The gambling treatment is free, but you might need to pay towards the costs of your stay. Do not let that stop you from applying. Gordon Moody can help you work through different options to get you the right support.
If you’re eligible for Housing Benefit payments, the costs might be almost entirely covered. This is except for a small weekly personal service charge of around £10.
Referring a patient
As a healthcare professional, you might have a patient or client that is struggling with their gambling.
