Our governance process
Our governance process guarantees our independence from the gambling industry. None of our trustees, managers or decision makers are employed, paid by or connected to the gambling industry.
We are committed to the Charity Governance Code, which includes a priority to be transparent and accountable. As part of this commitment, we regularly share information with the Advisory Board for Safer Gambling.
Our Lived Experience Council (LEC) also plays a vital role in shaping our plans. The Council is made up of people with lived experience of gambling harms, including those who have been affected by other people’s gambling.

Our people
Our leadership team and trustees have extensive public health, NHS and charity experience. They all come from different backgrounds, but the thing they have in common is a passion for the work they do.

Committees
Our independent and expert committees are responsible for advising us on how to make transparent and fair funding decisions. They make funding decisions subject to the approval of the full Board of Trustees. They are also informed by the views of our Lived Experience Council (LEC).
