How your donation can help

With your support, and by collaborating with the NHS, local and national government and many gambling treatment providers, we offer:

  • access to the National Gambling Support Network
  • advice, tools and support
  • research into effective gambling prevention measures
  • national campaigns to raise awareness of services and to break down stigma associated with gambling harms

We are committed to transparency and openness regarding fundraising and spending. The details of all donations we receive from gambling organisations are published on our website. This information is also reported to the Gambling Commission every April.

How to donate

We ask all those who profit from gambling to donate a minimum of 0.1% of their annual Gross Gambling Yield (GGY) to GambleAware each year. We ask those with an annual GGY of less than £250,000 to donate a minimum of £250.

Many supporters donate by bank transfer. To donate by bank transfer complete and send a donation form which includes our bank details. This makes sure we can track donations made this way.

Send your completed form to fundraising@gambleaware.org.

If your donation is under £1,000, you can donate via our secure online platform below.

We are not able to process donations over the telephone.

GambleAware operates independently in pursuit of a vision where everyone is safe from gambling harms. We cannot accept donations which might compromise our independence.

For more information read our donations acceptance and refusal policy

Interaction with donors is a necessary element of our work to raise funds and awareness around the prevention of gambling harms.

All interactions with licenced gambling operators and organisations connected with the gambling industry are governed by a strict donor interaction protocol.

This is to make sure that fundraising activity has no bearing on commissioning decisions.
